The 1787 Constitutional Convention and the 2020 Murder of George Floyd Four clauses in the Constitution make explicit the notion that slaves-and their descendants-are marginal, lesser, and dangerous. These clauses have contributed to more than two centuries of police brutality towards slave descendants and include the 2020 murder of George Floyd.
