AlterNet Crooks and Liars Daily Kos (Note: these articles are from RSS News Feeds websites, and are deleted after 30 days, May 12, 2025 at 11:03 AM EDT In an unconstitutional, illegal, and blatantly stupid move, Donald J. Trump accepted a $400 million bribe from the royal family of Qatar in the form of a lavish jet to use as Air Force One until the end of his term, when the aircraft will be transferred to his presidential library. This means that Donald will keep the flying bribe after he leaves office. Trump took to Truth Social to blame Democrats for the backlash. May 12, 2025 at 10:41 AM EDT Donald Trump cannot understand why so many people, his people, are pissed off at him for his plan to accept a "flying palace" from the Qatari ruling family. Trump has expected to be amply rewarded for his time in office, enriching himself and those around him. And little perks, such as bribes from foreign governments are just part of his job description. So it must have come as quite a shock when his most ardent cheerleader (and probably much more than that) wrote some scathing tweets about his latest graft. And to be clear, Loomer wasn't criticizing the bribe itself, just where it came from. An avowed Islamophobe, Laura Loomer found that part entirely distasteful. May 12, 2025 at 10:41 AM EDT Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's anticipated entry into Georgia's upcoming Senate race would have been a likely gift to Sen. Jon Ossoff. A recent AJC poll showed her coming in dead last at 17 points behind Ossoff. Once again, that personal responsibility Republicans love to tout for other people doesn't apply to their own perpetually-victimized selves. May 12, 2025 at 7:21 AM EDT We know that Pope Leo has been critical of the Trump regime. Now we find that, like many of us, he must be struggling with Louis Prevost, his older MAGAt sibling. Who lives in Florida, naturally. Via the Daily Beast: Among his reposts are a video of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from 1996 with the caption, "These f---ing liberals crying about tariffs is just unreal. Do they not know that there is a thing called video? Just listen to what this drunk c--t has to say in the mid=90's long before her husband had grindr dates." May 11, 2025 at 11:00 PM EDT A couple of friends of mine were inspired by the insane crypto world unfolding around us and wrote this e-book/audiobook. Crypto Bombshell -- a gripping cyber-noir thriller by Damon Zwicker & Marcos Johnson -- rips open the dark underbelly of a crypto-dominated future, where tech titans, rogue coders, and AI collide in a war for ultimate power. May 11, 2025 at 7:30 PM EDT A cute little ditty with words that rhyme with 'c*nt.' A fitting song to describe Trump's vice president. Source: LGBTQ Nation May 11, 2025 at 7:29 PM EDT A suburban riding in Montreal has been a roller-coaster since election night. Auguste held a 35-vote lead then, but a post-election validation process gave Sinclair-Desgagne' a 44-vote lead. Yesterday's official judge-certified recount gave the win to 24-year-old Tatiana Auguste, running in her first-ever political race. Source: Canadian Press May 11, 2025 at 7:29 PM EDT It's about time someone did this, because that cynical nut job is killing people. Via the Baltimore Sun: Maryland's freshman senator will call for Kennedy, the nation's Health and Human Services secretary, to resign as she announces a resolution of "no confidence" against him at a "Sick Of It" rally Saturday afternoon at the Medical Center Metro Station in Bethesda. May 11, 2025 at 7:00 PM EDT Trump's Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick continued his gaslighting during an interview on this weekend's Fox News Sunday . I'm not sure how much longer they can keep this up as reality rapidly catches up with their bullshit. Trump's already told the dock workers and truck drivers to basically go pound sand while they lose their jobs due to his tariffs. Now we've got Lutnick continuing to deny that consumers are the ones who will pay for the tariffs with higher prices, while also denying that prices are going to rise at all -- and just glossing right over the job losses and telling them they should be "optimistic and happy" because Trump is. Sure thing pal. May 11, 2025 at 2:05 PM EDT Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) declined to rule out voting to suspend habeas corpus if it helps President Donald Trump deport undocumented people. In a Sunday interview with the senator, NBC host Kristen Welker pointed out that White House aide Stephen Miller had recently floated the idea of suspending the right to challenge detentions in court. May 11, 2025 at 12:28 PM EDT Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) insisted President Donald Trump showed "strength and leadership" with an apparent call to ration dolls as his tariffs hit U.S. consumers. During a Sunday interview on Meet the Press , host Kristen Welker noted that Trump recently said young kids could get by with fewer toys. May 11, 2025 at 12:28 PM EDT Turns out, using a billionaire real estate developer with no diplomatic experience was not the wisest move ever, as this doorknob uses translators the Kremlin provides. In diplomatic circles, that is just never done and for obvious reasons. Source: NBC News |
