'Negative Numbers': Fox Business Awkwardly Copes With Abysmal Jobs Report

The U.S. economy shed 92,000 positions last month, pushing the unemployment rate up to 4.4 percent, per Friday's Bureau of Labor Statistics release. The February report painted a picture of a labor market deteriorating much faster than anticipated, catching economists off guard -- analysts had forecast a gain of around 60,000 jobs, even as they correctly predicted the 4.4 percent unemployment figure. Meanwhile, Donald J. Trump has repeatedly insisted that he's heralded us into the "Golden Age," so it was awkward with President Fox News Grandpa's abysmal jobs numbers being read on Fox Business. Host Maria Bartiromo and Cheryl Casone are trying to cope with today's report showing negative numbers for February.

Guess What? Kristi's Not The One Lying About Her Expensive Ads

I remembered Kristi Noem talking about how Trump told her to make ads thanking him for closing the border, but I couldn't remember where I saw it. Fortunately, Heather "Digby" Parton did. It was from a Rolling Stone piece more than a year ago. The ad campaign amounts to an extremely expensive taxpayer-funded propaganda blitz to scare off migrants and to flatter Trump on television. On Friday, Trump's DHS secretary entertained the CPAC high-roller audience with her account of how Trump orchestrated the whole thing.

Kristi Noem Did Not Deny Extramarital Affair With Corey Lewandowski

Leave it to Rep. Jared Moskowitz to make us laugh while he questioned ICE Barbie about her corrupt and incompetent leadership of the Department of Homeland Security. Moskowitz followed Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove's questioning after she asked Secretary Kristi Noem about her relationship with "special government employee" Lewandowski. "At any time during your tenure as director of Department of Homeland Security have you had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski?" Kamlager-Dove asked.

Mike's Blog Round-Up

On this day in 1906, Lou Costello -- the Costello half of Abbott and Costello -- was born. A lot of comedy from that era hasn't aged especially well. Some routines feel painfully dated, some grate on modern ears, and others lean so heavily on long-vanished cultural references that they might as well require footnotes. But then there are the rare bits -- usually built on razor-sharp wordplay or beautifully constructed absurdity -- that are engineered so precisely and performed with such flawless timing that they feel immune to time. Those routines don't just survive; they keep working, generation after generation.

4-Body Problem?

The last three years I've been involved in educating myself on the history of science and physics which has been truly fascinating. It wasn't until I saw the very good Netflix series 3 Body Problem, based on a series of books by author Liu Cixin, that I first heard of such a thing.

Tim Sheehy Injures Anti-War Protester: 'The Senator Broke His Hand!'

Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-MT) was accused of breaking the hand of Marine veteran and anti-war activist Brian McGinnis. During a break in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Wednesday, McGinnis put his hand through a hole in the wall to prevent Capitol Police from removing him from the room.

Karoline Leavitt Smears Fallen Soldiers In Iran To Attack Media

In a disgusting attack on CNN's Kaitlan Collins, Trump White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt melted down when she was asked to verify SecDef Pete Hegseth's desire that the media ignore the deaths of US Service members in Iran because it makes Trump look bad. On Wednesday morning, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth gave a press briefing on the state of the war with Iran and shocked anyone watching when instead of offering condolences or a empathic portrait of what happened for the six Americans killed in a Iranian drone attack, he lambasted the press for only wanting "to make the president look bad."

Federal Judge Orders Trump To Begin Refunds Of $130 Billion In Tariffs

On Wednesday evening, Judge Richard Eaton of International Trade ordered the Trump administration to begin the process of refunding 130 billion to global importers that were collected by his yo-yo tariffs. After the Supreme Court invalidated Trump's tariffs, the case was kicked down to the EIT to determine how they should be handled.

Meet The Nutjob Who Tried To Suppress Dem Votes

There was chaos in Dallas County, Texas, in Tuesday's primary, and it's understandable that many people think it was part of a targeted long-term effort to prevent Democratic victories in November. But I don't think that's what happened. We know what happened. First,

Kristi Noem Fired: Trump Taps Markwayne Mullin For Job

Donald Trump fired Kristi Noem from her job as Secretary of Homeland Security. ICE Barbie is out, and the president wants Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin to replace her Never trust a man with two first names to fill a top job in national security. But that's just me.

Sen. Kelly: Random Group Of Folks Could Do Better Than Trump's Clowns On Iran

Sen. Mark Kelly is going to be a strong contender for president next time around, and not pulling any punches and drawing on his own personal history, as he did here, to dismantle this reckless and feckless administration is one of the reasons. Kelly made an appearance on The Briefing with Jen Psaki this Wednesday, and was asked about Trump's attack on Iran. Kelly didn't hold back on what he thought of the people surrounding Trump while also relaying his own story about what it means for the people in the military who are being put at risk right now.

It FINALLY Dawns On Trump That Maybe He Should Fire Lyin' Kristi Noem

Apparently, Donald Trump has been discreetly polling Republican lawmakers about whether it's time to show Kristi Noem the door at Homeland Security -- because nothing says "I have full confidence in my cabinet pick" like quietly asking everyone else if you should fire ICE Barbie, even though everything points to the fact that she should have been run out of town ages ago. Multiple Republicans who've chatted with the president confirmed the news. It appears that the puppy-killing, serial liar with a penchant for psychotic behavior isn't very popular after all. Who could have guessed it!
