RFK Jr. is so mad that real doctors don't have to listen to him

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is simply gobsmacked that pediatricians don't respect his authority when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines for children. How dare they refuse to believe that Kennedy, who has literally zero medical training, knows more than they do about children's health? How dare they say that they would indeed like to still vaccinate children for a disease that kills children?  Back in May, as an integral part of the administration's plot to destroy public health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention removed their recommendation that healthy children and pregnant women receive the COVID vaccine. No mainstream medical groups supported this move, and the CDC didn't even bother to consult with the American Academy of Pediatrics about it. In the true spirit of scientific exploration, this announcement of a major, unscientific reversal in vaccine recommendation was announced via an awkward video on X and based on zero actual scientific information.

Trump's DOJ targets park ranger for flying flag""while off duty

A Yosemite National Park ranger was fired for breaking a rule that didn't exist until after an act was committed Shannon "SJ" Joslin, a ranger and biologist who studies bats, hung a 66-foot transgender pride flag, while off duty, across Yosemite's El Capitan on May 20, to celebrate Pride Month.  However, despite voluntarily taking the flag down two hours later, Joslin's celebration was seen as unacceptable conduct in the eyes of their superiors. Just last week, Joslin, who identifies as nonbinary, was fired.

Time to waste millions painting Trump's border wall""again

During his first term, President Donald Trump couldn't get enough of his Big Beautiful Border Wall. This time around, he's been far more interested in letting masked federal agents attack immigrants directly, but you never forget your first love. So it's time to go back to the southern border and Paint It Black""again.   Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem traveled to New Mexico on Wednesday to hoist a paint roller and explain, in the creepy, overwrought way that everyone in the administration talks about Trump, that painting the border wall black is such a stunning idea that only he could have thought it up.

Vance and Hegseth get booed as they survey Trump's DC police state

A trio of Trump administration hacks visited Union Station in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday to survey the militarized police state Dear Leader Donald Trump created""and were met by a relentless din of boos from onlookers who shouted at them to leave the city. Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and white supremacist White House aide Stephen Miller walked into the train station to meet with the National Guard troops they yanked away from their jobs and families so they can stand around the parts of the city that have the least amount of crime.

Surprise! Trump finds yet another way to screw American consumers

The Trump administration on Tuesday announced that the 50% aluminum tariff President Donald Trump instituted will now apply to 400 more product categories, a move that will almost certainly raise prices for American consumers who are desperate for a reprieve. "Today's action expands the reach of the steel and aluminum tariffs and shuts down avenues for circumvention""supporting the continued revitalization of the American steel and aluminum industries," Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security Jeffrey Kessler said in a news release. "This is the latest in a series of historic steps by the Trump Administration to strengthen America's steel and aluminum industry."

Trump's tariffs hit his blue-collar backers where it hurts

The blue-collar workers who cheered all the way to the ballot box in 2024 before voting Donald Trump into the Oval Office again are feeling some pain from their favorite troll's tariffs.  A quarterly earnings report by Home Depot revealed the building supply giant will be raising its prices on select items to mitigate the president's geopolitical temper tantrum

Brazil courts to Trump administration: LOL nope

The Trump administration continues to be confounded by the idea that other countries have laws and values of their own, but Brazil's highest court is here to remind everyone that it, not Donald Trump, is the law of the land when it comes to Brazil. Man, he's gonna be furious.  On Monday, Brazil's Supreme Court ruled that foreign legislation does not apply in the country. While that may seem like a bit of a "well, duh" kind of statement, the reach of a country's laws outside its own borders is always a weedy, messy legal issue. But all you need to know about this particular ruling is that it invalidated the Magnitsky Act, a United States law allowing the president to impose sanctions, including denying entry to the country, on foreigners engaging in human rights abuses or corruption. Brazil's highest court didn't directly say this was about the Magnitsky Act, but everyone knows that's what this case is about, because the Magnitsky Act is what Trump used to impose sanctions on Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes in late July.
