Poll shows Chuck Schumer may be in big trouble

Last month, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer insisted he should stay on as leader of the Senate Democratic Caucus""even after betraying his party in the House by backing a partisan spending bill championed by President Donald Trump and the GOP.  However, discontent with Democratic leadership has only grown since then. Several Senate Democrats continue bending the knee to Trump, helping him ram through abysmal Cabinet picks and advance his destructive agenda. The frustration has reached a boiling point""so much so that new polling shows a majority of voters in one key Democratic stronghold are ready to turn the page and hand the reins to a new generation.

Inside the Trump administration's AI fever dream

Perhaps you're wondering what Elon Musk and his so-called Department of Government Efficiency plan on doing once they finish wrecking the federal government. The answer is as depressing as it is stupid: artificial intelligence. The idea that government can basically be run by X's chatbot Grok is one cooked up by feverish man-toddlers with little understanding of what government does""or, for that matter, what AI can do.

After exaggerating Social Security fraud, we'll need an AI to find it all

Frank Bisignano, President Donald Trump's pick to lead the Social Security Administration, told CNBC that "we build AI to find fraud, waste, and abuse for a living." It's not really clear who "we" is in that sentence, since the government doesn't build AI "for a living," but that's the least of the problem here.

These companies expect to hike prices thanks to Trump's tariffs

President Donald Trump's decision to impose destructive tariffs against just about everybody on the planet quickly sent stocks plummeting and led to layoffs, prompting Trump's rich allies to scramble and do damage control, albeit poorly. Trump has long pushed his ill-conceived tariff plan. And even before "Liberation Day," numerous companies have gone on the record about tariffs, saying they will pass (or have already passed) the costs on to consumers.
