Shareholders Revolt Against CBS 'Deal' With Trump

If Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS News , settles a $20 billion lawsuit brought by U.S. President Donald Trump, it could face another lawsuit from a leading press freedom organization. The Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF), a Paramount shareholder, notified company executives in a letter on Friday that a settlement with Trump "could amount to a bribe" to the president and his administration "for their approving and not impeding" a merger of Paramount and the entertainment company Skydance.

Need A Pardon? Just Have Your Mom Attend A $1 Million Mar-a-Lago Dinner

Donald J. Trump pardoned tax cheat Paul Walczak after his mother, Elizabeth Fago, attended a Mar-a-Lago dinner that cost her $1 million to attend. His mother's support for Trump, including raising millions of dollars and a connection to a plot to publicize Ashley Biden's diary, was cited in Walczak's pardon application, The New York Times reports. Now, Walczak won't have to pay nearly $4.4 million in restitution and will not serve 18 months in prison after the healthcare executive admitted to stealing money earmarked for his employees' taxes to fund a luxurious lifestyle, including a $2 million yacht, travel, and purchases at high-end retailers, including Bergdorf Goodman and Cartier.

Wall Street Journal Calls For GOP Senate Revolt Against Putin

The Wall Street op-ed board, ridiculed for years for its flights of right-wing fantasy, has been shocked somewhat closer to reality by the second Trump term. In today's op-ed, they call for the Republican senate to buck Trump and pass sanctions against Putin. Via the WSJ today: Mr. Trump may be the only person in the world still surprised by how Mr. Putin is behaving. The Russian is the same man he's been for two decades, bent on reconstituting as much of the old Soviet empire as he can get away with. Ukraine is his obsession. He's not going to modify his ambitions merely because Mr. Trump alternates between begging for peace and scolding outbursts on social media.

Fox Lies About Reenlistments For Soldiers Ousted For COVID Vaccine Refusals

They'll lie about anything if it pushes their narrative that Cadet Bone Spurs is the one that really loves the troops. Trump made a visit to Arlington Cemetery for Memorial Day, and he managed not to insult everyone there by wearing a MAGA hat like he did during his rambling commencement speech at West Point, but he was just as disrespectful during the Memorial Day ceremony, attacking judges and Biden during his speech, because he's incapable of keeping politics or his own petty grievances out of anything he does.

Corrupt Donald Trump Pardons Corrupt MAGA Sheriff Because Of Course

Donald announced his latest pardon on Truth Social, a MAGA Sheriff who accepted more than $75,000 in bribes. As usual, Trump blamed Biden's Department of Justice, even though former Sheriff Scott Jenkins of Culpeper County, Virginia, took the bribes in exchange for appointing numerous Northern Virginia businessmen as auxiliary deputy sheriffs within his department. A jury of his peers found him guilty, and he was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after he was convicted of conspiracy, honest services fraud, and bribery last December.

Elon Musk Backlash Continues: Tesla European Sales Plummet

Elon Musk has destroyed the Tesla brand with his white supremacy and unconstitutional DOGE destruction. Tesla sales worldwide have plummeted as a result. Musk's dive into " government" has had disastrous effects on Tesla sales in the US, and now Europe has weighed in.

Uh Oh White House 'Investigation' Blows Up All Over Hegseth

The White House has reportedly lost confidence in Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's leak investigation after officials were told that an illegal wiretap was used in the probe. The Guardian reported on Tuesday that officials had notified Vice President JD Vance after the Defense Department officials claimed they employed an "illegal warrantless National Security Agency (NSA) wiretap" to out senior Hegseth adviser Dan Caldwell, who was fired last month with two other aides.

Projection: Crazy Grandpa Shares Post Calling Biden A 'Decrepit Corpse'

Donald J. Trump took his little fingers to Truth Social to share a post on Monday calling former President Joe Biden a "decrepit corpse." Trump boot-licker, @DC_Draino, wrote the post that his felonious hero shared. "They stole the 2020 election and hijacked the country using a decrepit corpse as a frontman," the crazy-time post states. "They used an autopen to start wars, steal from our treasury, and pardon their friends."

New ChatGPT Model Refused Order To Shut Down

OpenAI's latest ChatGPT model ignores basic instructions to turn itself off, and even sabotages a shutdown mechanism in order to keep itself running, artificial intelligence researchers have warned. Via The Independent: The tests involved presenting AI models with math problems, with a shutdown instruction appearing after the third problem. By rewriting the shutdown script, the o3 model was able to prevent itself from being switched off. Palisade Research said that this behaviour will become "significantly more concerning" if adopted by AI systems capable of operating without human oversight."

Federal Judges Consider Taking Over Their Own Security Force

Federal judges are considering a plan that would shift their armed protection personnel away from the DoJ and under their own control, while the Trump administration is ginning up hostility against their rulings. Via the Guardian: The Wall Street Journal revealed on Sunday that the idea of creating their own armed security detail emerged at a meeting of about 50 federal judges two months ago. A security committee at the twice-yearly judicial conference, a policymaking body for federal judges, raised concerns about the increasing number of threats against judges following Trump's relentless criticism of court rulings against his policies.
