The GOP is trying to repeal Obamacare again""and hopes you won't notice

The "One Big, Beautiful Bill Act" that Republicans are trying to ram through Congress is being billed as President Donald Trump's tax and immigration bill, extending the 2017 tax cuts that overwhelmingly favor the rich while funding Trump's evil immigration crackdown. But in reality, the dogshit legislation is just a backdoor way for Trump and the GOP to repeal the Affordable Care Act, President Barack Obama's signature legislative achievement that has helped tens of millions of Americans get health insurance or Medicaid coverage.

Trump made law firms his pawns""and he wants Paramount to follow suit

Paramount Global is looking to settle President Donald Trump's meritless lawsuit against its CBS News division""and the current proposal is terrible, even by Trump-era standards.  Broadly speaking, there are two ways for companies to get the litigation-happy Trump off their back: They can choose to give him millions of dollars in cash, or they can choose to give him millions of dollars in free services. Paramount is taking a different approach by reportedly offering both cash on the barrelhead, as other media outlets have, as well as millions of dollars worth of free services, a hallmark of recent law firm settlements with the administration.

Joni Ernst's 'we all are going to die' disaster earns her a challenger

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa made some callous and disgusting comments about her support for Medicaid cuts during a town hall on May 30, telling constituents that "we all are going to die."  Now her comments have officially earned her a top Democratic challenger in the 2026 midterm election: JD Scholten, a current state representative for Iowa.

Not even 'MAGA girl' is allowed to criticize the Trump team

Turns out that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth really doesn't like it when people point out that he's afraid of answering journalists' tough questions. In fact, it could cost you your job. Gabrielle Cuccia, a reporter from One America News Network, told The Independent in a report published Monday that she was fired after making a post on Substack about how Hegseth hasn't held a press briefing since he took his position in January.

Lindsey Graham posts on social media like an edgelord weirdo

Sen. Lindsey Graham, who has served four terms in the House and is currently in his fourth term in the Senate""and therefore should really know better""is busy behaving like a teenage edgelord on X.  Fam, is it good when a sitting senator implies that Israel should bomb a boat carrying Greta Thunberg, the 22-year-old climate change activist?

A failed conspiracy to steal a mayoral race shows how manipulation can happen at the local level, and how difficult it would be to orchestrate fraud on a larger scale. By Carter Walker, Votebeat

Law firms that caved to Trump are paying a steep price

Turns out, working hand-in-hand with President Donald Trump""especially when it means helping ram through his unconstitutional agenda""has its downsides. Just ask the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Garrison & Wharton. According to a new report in The Wall Street Journal, some of the nation's top law firms that caved to Trump's pressure campaign are now facing serious backlash from their own clients. Corporate clients are pulling out, shifting work elsewhere, and openly questioning whether these firms can be trusted to represent them. It's a fair concern: How can you fight for your clients if you can't even fight for yourself?
