I'm 67, retired, married to Arthur a little over 40 years, and have two sons; Arthur and Jesse. A career of 30+ years -- working up from Secretarial to a Research Library Assistant/Archivist -- was ended too soon in 2002 when BASF Corporation bought the campus in Princeton, NJ; then closed it. Retirement is enjoyable and liberating, with reading, yoga, and travel - when money permits. I used to hike; now I walk. I used to kayak on fast water, now I glide on lakes. I've found a 'voice' with a 'motley crew' of concerned citizens that meets once a week to discuss books, legislation, and government in general. I think independently but generally find my views to fall in line with Democrats and Progressives. Our group works under the umbrella of PA Progressive Organization, lobbying at congressional officials' offices: Local, State and Federal. We've assisted other organizations such as Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN), Bucks County Women's Advocacy Coalition (BCWAC), and, of course, for Democratic candidates. I've been writing letters and guest opinions to the editor of our local paper for a few years now.
