Let us start today's message with veery good news: Our institute (paaalestinenature.org) received the furniture for our new 1400 square meter Palestine Museum of Natural History. Now we fill it up with exhibits and plan for opening this unique national and regional facility. We could use your support (financial, volunteering, donating material etc). Volunteering can be in person or remotely. Email us at info@palestinenature.org for details photos here.

In other good news, 28 research papers were published or submitted or accepted from our team in the first 7 months of 2026. This is a record of FOUR papers per month on areas randing from environmental justice to biodiversity to environmental health to disability in Gaza to citizen activism. Citation of our work grew rapidly. To see text of some of the papers see palestinenature.org/research (page needs updating)

Now for a glimpse of the (not so nice) reality here in Palestine.

The Zionist government of settlers is unleashing its hords of colonial armed settlers (in uniform or out of uniform) on our people. It is getting very very difficult. This week the armed thugs camee to private land in Beit Sahour and shot their weapons. If it was not for the presence of Jewish members of Combatants for Peace, we would be in far worse shape. See videos here. The world cannot remain silent.

I'm an old Pogo fan. For some unknown reason I persist in outrage at Feudalism, as if human beings can do much better than this. Our old ways of life are obsolete and are killing us. Will the human race wake up in time? Stay (more...)
