Is Israel's collective nightmare the same as the German's during the Third Reich?

Israel is doing to the Palestinians the same thing the Nazi's did to the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto during WW2, forcing evacuations of Jews into smaller and smaller, supposedly safe, zones with posted deadlines for getting out (often with just the clothes they were wearing and whatever they could fit in their pockets) before they sealed off these neighborhoods. There isn't a lot of difference. The terror of it is the same, the icy calculatedness of it is the same, and the way the world is turning away, pretending not to notice, is the same.

The designated safe blocks (in Warsaw) became more and more crowded and unliveable. Eventually of course, no place was safe, and that was the whole calculus of the Nazi equivalent of the Israeli's "General's Plan", to keep moving Palestinians around until there is no place left for them to go. But maybe by that time nothing will matter anyway. To an outsider, Gaza has become a ghetto. This is what you might expect from a people who have not individuated, by which I mean, their shadow is running amuck. It is running the government and I would bet you anything it is manifesting in the dreams of Israelis. It has to be.

During the third Reich, a significant crosscut of Germans were having the same dream, of a fire burning in a public venue that is being largely ignored even as it grows and spreads. That is a great metaphor for collective psychic trauma. I would bet anything that Israelis are literally having the same nightmare without realizing it.

This does not bode well for anyone. But don't expect the United States to call them out. Our shadow is global in scale and dwarfs Israel's.
