Why Rededicating America Under God is Impossible

This past Sunday on the National Mall in Washington, DC, thousands of people, primarily Christians, prayed and called for rededicating America as a nation under God during their Rededicate 250 event. They don't realize it can't be a REdedication because America's Founders never dedicated the American Republic under God. Not once in American history has the American Republic been dedicated under God. What Trump and his faith-based Christians are attempting to do is dedicate America under God, not rededicate America. And realistically they don't mean under God, they mean under Judeo-Christianity, the Christian Bible, the Christian clergy and under the growing number of Christian government theocrats.

The purpose of claiming it is a rededication is probably to give the false impression that America's Founders had dedicated America under God. This goes along with their false narrative that America's Founders created the American Republic as a Christian nation. This informative article points out the Christian clergy are lying when they say America was founded as a Christian nation.

The full name of this theocratic religious event is, Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving. They have taken "Jubilee" from the ungodly and cruel Hebrew Bible, what Christians have renamed the Old Testament.

The Jubilee is found in Leviticus 25. Christians do not understand that the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament is NOT for them or for any Gentile. The entire Hebrew Bible is for Jews. It primarily promotes Jewish supremacy and the Jewish nation of Israel over and above all the Gentile nations. Gentile Christians who read it have to ignore verses like Leviticus 25:38 which has God saying,

"I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God."

Verses similar to this, almost word for word, precede the Ten Commandments, making it clear the Ten Commandments are not for Gentiles, they are only for Jews.

One example of Gentile Christians not getting the point that the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament is NOT for them and is only intended for Jews is found in the Jubilee story in Leviticus and on the Liberty Bell. When the Liberty Bell was cast in 1751 for the Pennsylvania State House, which later became Independence Hall, the Christian colonists took a part of the Bible verse at Leviticus 25:10 which reads,

"Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the Land unto all the inhabitants thereof"

and had it cast on to the Liberty Bell.

They probably focused on verses in which God was telling the Jews to free their brothers who are slaves, not realizing that freedom was only for Jews and not for Gentiles. This is clearly evident in Leviticus 25:44-46 in which the ancient Jewish clergymen who wrote the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament have God instructing the Jews,

"Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour."

It's very concerning that ancient fear and hate-based religious myths are strongly believed, though, in many cases, misunderstood as the Christians misunderstand the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. The 21st century should be, and needs to be, free of the man-made, ungodly and harmful "revealed" Abrahamic religions. Especially living in the nuclear age, where a horrific and deadly apocalypse without the religious happy ending, is a very real possibility.

When Deists, people who believe in the reality of The Supreme Intelligence/God based on reason and the laws and principles in nature, by increasing our efforts to persistently promote Deism to as many people as we possibly can, finally make innate God-given reason and Deism prevail, we will bring about the day that the Deist Thomas Jefferson wrote about. In a letter to John Adams dated April 11, 1823, Jefferson wrote,

"And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter."
