Trump has opened Pandora's Box by bombing Iran's nuclear sites Pres. Trump ordered the bombing of Iran's nuclear sites as of Friday night. The attack included a dozen 30,000 pound bunker buster bombs along w/ 125 other bombers. The Fordow & Natanz nuclear sites were hit by the bunker buster bombs. A cruise missile from a US sub hit the nuclear site in Isfahan. The Iranian Nat'l parliament has approved the closing of the Strait of Hormuz. The situation can't be anything more dire.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the most dangerous leader in the world The most dangerous leader in the world is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He's the one who ordered the IDF to attack Iran's nuclear sites, kill Iranian military commanders & nuclear scientists saying it was meant to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has stated Iran is not developing a nuclear weapon. Yet Israel is @ war w/ Iran w/ no end in sight.

On Friday Israel attacked nuclear and military sites in Iran On Friday June 13th Israel attacked nuclear & military sites in Iran. Israeli PM Netanyahu claimed the strikes were meant to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Massive protests erupted in Iran demanding retaliation against Israel. Lest we forget Iran has highly accurate ballistic missiles which it sent destroying a US military base in Iraq in 2020. This in retaliation of the US assassination of an Iranian General.

The 2nd round of peace talks between the Russian and Ukraine delegations began today in Istanbul Turkey The 2nd round of peace talks between Russian & Ukraine delegations began today June 2. Reuters maintains Ukraine rejects Moscow's demand for recognition of new Russian regions, neutrality for Kiev & limits on the size of Ukraine's armed forces. Russia has stressed any peace deal must address the root causes of the conflict, guarantee neutrality, demilitarization, denazification & recognize the new territories on the ground.

The US and Russia are competing in the development of advanced missile technology Trump just announced the "Golden Dome", a space based missile defense capable of intercepting missiles from anywhere in the world. Russia has developed a cruise missile it refers to as a doomsday missile the Golden Dome may struggle to counter. It's called the Burevesnik, a guaranteed retaliatory strike platform in the event of a nuclear war. What should never be forgotten by both sides is "MAD", mutually assured destruction.

As usual Trump is up to his old tricks Trump's up to his old tricks. He wants Iran to scrap its entire nuclear program. Thing is Iran doesn't back down from threats by Trump w/regard to its nuclear program. After Trump reneged on Obama's 2015 nuclear deal w/Iran in 2018 Iran only began to increase its uranium enrichment after Trump pulled the US out of the deal. Also remember Iran has accurate ballistic missiles. They are a message. You attack us we'll attack you.

Trump about to hit China with a 245% tariff on goods to the US According to a White House fact sheet on Tuesday, Apr. 15, 2025 Chinese imports to the US could face tariffs as high as 245%. In retaliation China initiated a 125% tariff on US goods to the PRC. Thoug the US has been China's No. 1 export destination China has $billions in trade w/other countries in the world. Though China will be challenged to w/stand Trumps tariffs in the short term, it will likely persevere.

Ukraine continuing to violate 30-day ceasefire agreement between Trump and Putin There's been a 30-day ceasefire agreement between Pres. Trump & Russian Pres. Putin since their phone call on March 18 calling for no attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine by Russia. Ukraine leader Zelensky agreed to the truce. The fact is Ukraine has violated the truce on multiple occasions. Moscow has provided Washington w/extensive proof. Yet the Trump administration does nothing to stop Zelensky's breaches of the truce.

Why did Zelensky attack an oil facility and a hospital in Russia after Trump and Putin agreed on a 30 day cease fire? On Tuesday Pres. Trump & Russian Pres. Putin held a phone call agreeing on a 30 day energy & infrastructure ceasefire in Ukraine. W/in hours of that agreement Ukraine sent drones attacking an oil facility in Russia then drones attacking a hospital in central Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry called it a premeditated provocation aimed @ derailing Trump's initiative. Was that Ukraine leader Vladimir Zelensky's motive?

Fiasco in the Oval Office on Friday and the aftermath after two days As we know this past Friday saw something unprecedented happen in the Oval Office between Pres. Trump, VP Vance & Ukraine leader Zelensky. With the press in attendance what began as civil diplomacy descended into loud recriminations between them. Verbal accusations toward each other in a display of anti-diplomacy never seen before coming out of the Oval Office.

Trump and Putin on the phone Wednesday its significance can't be understated Trump & Russian Pres. Putin held a phone conversation yesterday. It's significance can't be understated. They agreed the war in Ukraine needs to end, that Ukraine will never join NATO & Russian territorial gains will remain in the settlement to end the war. A summit likely. In contrast to these developments, Trump has made some statements wanting to deport Gaza Palestinian's to Jordan & Egypt. Totally unacceptable to them.

One week into Trump's second coming he's been on an executive order rampage A week into Trump's 2nd go round in the Oval Office he's been on an executive order rampage. ICE agents conducting raids arresting immigrants suspected of criminal behavior or has it been indiscriminate in nature. Threatening to deport children of immigrants born in the US. Make Greenland US territory & taking back the Panama Canal. W/ Repubs controlling Congress we're in uncharted territory @ least for the next 2 years.

On MondayTrump returns to the White House, the Democrats will have little say on what he does On Monday Trump returns as US president. Except for a truce his envoy to the Middle East made between Israel & Hamas everything else is mere speculation. The Repubs have the presidency, the House & Senate plus a 6 to 3 majority on the Supreme Court. The Dems are in the wilderness unable to figure out what went wrong & why. Blaming Trump isn't the answer. They need to go back to the drawing board & see the mistakes they made.

One never knows what he'll do. He says he'll end the Ukraine conflict in 24hrs yet he hasn't disclosed any details on how he'll achieve this feat. It's no more than speculation. He stirs the pot to keep it boiling w/ assertions that keeps him in the news. It's anyone's guess what he'll do after he's inaugurated.

Could detente with our adversaries happen under a new Trump administration? Could detente, relaxing of tensions w/our adversaries i.e. Russia, China, Iran, N. Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua et al be possible under the new Trump administration? He has made it known he wants to end the war in Ukraine in 24 hrs. That's unlikely to happen. Trump & Putin could have a summit meeting & negotiate an end to the war. But at this point we'll just have to wait & see what Trump & his entourage will actually do.

Hunter Biden convicted of a crime pardoned by his father There is a suspicion by many (most?) people in the US that there is a two-tier system of justice in the country. One for ordinary people who when committing a crime & get convicted are sentenced & serve time in prison. The other tier involves those w/ high level political connections who rarely go to prison even when convicted of a crime. Yesterday Pres. Biden pardoned his son Hunter though he'd been convicted of a crime.

Biden lifts restrictions now allowing missile strikes deep into Russian territory According to Biden administration officials the president has lifted restrictions on the Zelensky regime in Ukraine to use ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile Systems) to strike deep into Russian territory. The move is a serious escalation of the war. It seems unprecedented such a move would be carried out by a lame duck administration. What's to gain by it? It will only bring more devastation to Ukraine w/out changing the outcome.

Speculation of Trump's second coming It's been 11 days since Trump won re-election. And speculation about his second coming is @ fever pitch. Yet speculation of what Trump may or not do is merely a forecast. Forget what he said during the campaign. It was campaign rhetoric. Even looking @ his major appointments it's still speculation of what influence they'll have on him & what he'll actually do. Trump is so unpredictable he still could change his mind on a whim.

Trump elected- an assessment. Well there it is; Trump is victorious. Kamala Harris was terrible choice for the Dems. They should have held an open convention to find the best candidate against Trump. Instead they chose her after Biden's disastrous debate performance against Trump. Most women voted for her but men in the swing states voted for Trump. What we do know about Trump is he's unpredictable so be prepared for the next iteration of Trump.
