Traumas Makes for Suffering This article is also a Proem about Gaza. It includes commentary and quotes from prophets and poets. What has taken place can only be explained by upside down thinking, an inversion of reality by a leadership lacking in ethical or moral concerns. Scholasticide is the deliberate destruction of places of learning. These are traumas that are doubly painful for children in Gaza.

War, Trauma and Forgetting The article relates primarily to Israel and Gaza war while discussing trauma and war and the resulting tendency to avoid or deny suffering. It includes an extensive quote from the Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, concerning victims who suffer in war as well as the veterans who cause the suffering. This Buddhist interpretation is related to Gazan suffering and those who are the present cause of Gaza's suffering.

Irish History Resonates in Gaza The article makes some comparisons between Irish history as it relates to England and Palestine history as it relates to Israel. The article uses quotes from Israeli historians and Israel peace groups to make the point that dispossession of indigenous land causes considerable traumas and eventually those traumas have to be resolved.

What Can Be Said After So Much Grief The article deals with gun violence by contrasting the 19th century "Gospel of Wealth" which viewed individual prosperity as a reflection God's benevolence vs the "Social Gospel" which preached that all of society must benefit from material advancement in order to redress moral wrongs. Government must play a role in regulating inequities, especially concerning gun proliferation and gun violence.

"A Cautionary Tale" For The Ukraine War This is an article concerning wars involving Russia. It discusses the fact that the results were contrary to the original intentions. The Crimean War was a great loss of manpower and prestige for Russia. For Europe it helped fragment alliances. Much like Russia and Ukraine, the present debacle is besmirching the reputation of a great country, now suffering from the narrow and very limited decisions of their leader, Putn.

Ireland and the Wabanaki This article is meant to show similarities between English settler-colonialism and the vast land confiscations in Ireland while in America this took place by "right of conquest" using the legal fiction of the "Doctrine of Discovery" in order to gain sovereign rights over the land.
