Since the late 70's, BE47 has been involved in struggles like ending apartheid, capitol punishment and nuclear power. His current efforts have been focused on out-lawing torture and war, and restoring Habeas Corpus to the American legal system. Along with the the Bill of Rights. He is a multi-media artist. Two of his favorite works are "ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE" banner which he painted for the School of the Americas protest in 2001, and a Peace sculpture that he gave to former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge and his wife that same year [TITLE: "Peace of the Susquehanna"]. Recently disabled, he is beginning to explore journalism more in the hope of broadening his artistic breadth. He intends for both his journalism and his art to help people envision and change the sickness in our world. And turn it into something better.

"Man [and woman] is a creation of desire, not a creation of need."
