Overcoming Delusion (7 articles.) (# of views) (Created by Eric Z Lucas)
This series is based on my new book: Overcoming Delusion: Berea College and the Supreme Court's Destruction of Racial Equality.  The series will focus on the problem of delusion-making in the United States--historically and currently. It will contain quotes and other excerpts from my book which will be available for purchase in 2021. The problem of delusion-making directly concerns our rights and freedoms as citizens. The effort to manipulate and control the 'public mind' is as serious now as it has ever been in history. And we must all learn to become immune to such manipulation.

FAIR INCOME, POLITICAL AND EQUITABLE WEALTH DISTRIBUTION (11 articles.) (# of views) (Created by Edward Campbell)
We explore how the United States Constitution, which was written to exclude nobilities, aristocracies and plutocracies, can be enforced to arrive at a more equitable distribution of wealth and how a guaranteed income can assist and improve the economy, while finding support in the proposition that profit is the tax of the market and the sellers are merely tax collectors who are entitled to something for the effort, but not everything and how regulating this can reduce along with death duties and taxes for higher incomes can do more to remove the extreme disparities now found in American wealth and political power.
The Spirit that Drove Us to Civil War is Back (8 articles.) (# of views) (Created by Andrew Schmookler)
In our times, a   destructive force has emerged in the American political system. This   force --- or spirit -- should be understood as the re-emergence onto   center stage of what drove the United States to polarize, break apart,   and fight a bloody Civil War a century and a half ago. This destructive   force is damaging our nation now just as it did then. By looking at the striking and non-trivial parallels between the destructive patterns of the two eras, we can perceive --as with Magic Eye images-- a figure emerging from the apparently haphazzard lines in our daily newspapers.  The more clearly we perceive this destructive spirit at work in America today, the better able we will be to combat and defeat it.
